PRP for Hair Restoration

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is also used in the office for stimulation of hair regrowth for hair loss/thinning. After a quick blood draw, the plasma is reinjected in the scalp in a grid pattern in the areas of hair loss. Optimal results are obtained from a minimum of 3 treatments a month apart. The procedure is quick and has virtually no down time. Please note, it is important to treat the underlying disease process before these treatments in reference to pathologic hair loss (ex: autoimmune or uncontrolled thyroid disease).
